Satellite communication technology powerhouse creates a new engine for the digital economy!
SatCom Forum will take the lead in Korea's leap
into a 6G satellite communication technology
powerhouse.
Today, the global satellite communications market is changing rapidly with the development of technology and services
In the satellite communication market, low-orbit satellites are attracting new attention as future communication services as technologies such as satellite lightweight projectiles, and next-generation digital satellites that can freely change frequency bands and service areas are emerging.
Thanks to these innovations in technology and services
Satellite communication is a core space technology that will open the 6G communication era and is expected to be the center of leading global fourth industries such as AI, self-driving UAM, and augmented reality (AR).
Therefore, the national level is also preparing various policies for the development of space technology and industrial revitalization of the Republic of Korea.
Since its inauguration, the Korean government has selected the leap forward as a space powerhouse and the opening of the Korean space age as one of its major national tasks
In November of this year, we declared a roadmap for the future space economy and presented a mid- to long-term vision for space development. Recently, through the establishment of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, the roadmap has been embodied by expanding functions such as policy-making, research and development, industrial development, and international cooperation
In response, the Satellite Communication Forum will do its best to secure 6G satellite communication technology and strengthen global competitiveness as the most reliable support force in the great step toward becoming a space power in Korea.
Since its establishment in July 2021, the Satellite Communication Forum has been designed to strengthen 6G satellite communication technology, an important growth foundation for future new businesses
It has served as a venue for industry-academic and intergovernmental exchanges through external public relations, such as holding various academic conferences, conferences, and government meetings, collecting opinions through internal expert committees and publishing contribution issue reports
In the future, the Satellite Communications Forum will play a central role in public-private cooperation and take the lead in securing technology competitiveness in the space and satellite communication fields as soon as possible and establishing an industrial ecosystem.
Thank you.
